Surgical Blade

The Surgical Blade was a type of short blade renowned for its exceptionally sharp edge, and was a trusted tool of Hippokrates in the 5th century BCE.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra was rewarded the blade after helping Hippokrates track down the remnants of a hunting party in Boeotia, and save what she could.[1]
