This Palazzo used to be the Home of Emilio Babarigo, The Merchant King of Venice. It is designed in the classic Venetian Gothic style - while appearing quite heavy and solemn it is actually very light and airy. The Thieves Guild have now gained control of it. After Memory Sequence 7 up to three groups of thieves can be found with Antonio's guild claiming it as their second home.

After arriving from [[Romagna]] on the ferry, [[Leonardo da Vinci]] and [[Ezio Auditore da Firenze|Ezio]] are welcomed by [[Alvise Da Vilandino|Alvise]] and are given a quick tour of San Polo. Ezio, being well known for making 'friends' very quickly, finds a small band of Thieves try to scale Emilio Barbarigo's Palazzo, but resulting in the Thieves Leader, [[Rosa]], being shot in the leg by an arrow. Whilst Leonardo da Vinci makes his workshop in [[Castello District|Castello]], Ezio meets [[Antonio de Magianis]], Leader of the Venetian Thieves Guild, and learns about Emilio Barbarigo. Ezio begins helping the Guild, and learns Rosa's Climb Leap. All in all, it ends with Emilio's Assassination by Ezio.

The San Polo District was a district in the Italian city of Venice. It was within this district that the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze befriended the Venetian Thieves Guild.

Merchants flocked to San Polo to sell their wares, and the palazzo of Venice's most powerful 15th century merchant, Emilio Barbarigo, is located here.
