What remains of the ruins on the shore

The Ruins of the Sea People were a series of ruins in the Aegean Sea between the Silver Islands, Greece. Most parts of this once grand temple laid in the bottom of the sea, but a small piece remained on the beach of Delos, in the northeastern tip of the Kynthos Hills.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place, killed the inhabiting sharks and looted the lost treasures.[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The name of the ruins references the Sea Peoples, a group of raiders theorized to have attacked Egypt and other coastal regions in the Mediterranean prior to and during the disastrous Late Bronze Age collapse.
