The Ruins of Plataia was the name given to the southwestern region of Boeotia in ancient Greece. It was so named for the city Plataia, which had been largely destroyed by the Peloponnesian War and had been converted into a fort.
During said conflict the region was explored by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
