Pirate Scimitar

The Pirate Scimitar was a curved sword with an elaborate silver hilt made popular by pirates in the 18th century. The design was sold in general stores across the Caribbean[1] in the early 18th century and continued to be prevalent as late as mid-century in Louisiana,[2] in New York, and in settlements along the Hudson and St. Lawrence river valleys.[3]
