Phyleas was the son of king Augeias of Elis in Greek mythology, and followed him to the throne.
Biography[edit | edit source]
After Herakles had cleaned up the Stable of Augeias, the hero returned to demand his pay, one tenth of the cattle within. Augeias refused, and Herakles killed him, giving the kingdom to Phyleas.[1]
