Antoninus Pius (Latin: Titus Fulvus Aelius Hadrianus Antoninus Augustus Pius; 86 – 161), also known as Antoninus, was Roman Emperor from 138 to his death.

After the death of his wife, Faustina the Elder, Antoninus erected a temple in her honor. 20 years later, Antonius also passed away and the temple was rededicated to both of them.[1]
