The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean in the world. It borders Asia and Australia to the west, and North and South America in the east.
The map in Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's Codex showed there were three Pieces of Eden in the Pacific, including one near Mexico and another on Easter Island.[1]
The Pacific was mentioned by Sofia Sartor and Ezio Auditore during their inspection of Martin Waldseemüller's map of the world. At the time, it was an unknown body of water, which Ezio assumed was a new ocean.[2]
The British Captain James Cook later crossed the Pacific several times, exploring and charting most of its islands and native peoples.[3]
A solar flare on 21 December 2012 caused volcanic activity and earthquakes in the Ring of Fire. However, these died down quickly, as Desmond Miles activated the Isu machine known as the global aurora borealis device to shield the planet from the solar flare's effects.[4]
