Orthos was a two-headed dog in Erytheia in Greek mythology.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Tasked to protect the cattle of Geryon alongside the herdsman Eurytion, Orthos was slain by Herakles, who had been ordered by King Eurystheas of Mycenae to obtain the cattle of Geryon.[1]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
Orthos was regarded as the offspring of Typhon and Echidna, like his brother Cerberos, another many-headed dog in Greek mythology.
