The Narwhal (Monodon monoceros) is a species of toothed whale found in arctic regions. They feature a single, distinct long tooth that protrudes near the point of their nose, much like a unicorn's horn on its head.[1]
Throughout the 18th century, narwhals were hunted by various individuals, including the Templar Shay Cormac. They were commonly found in the Port la Joye and Fort Louis regions of the North Atlantic. After Shay slew a narwhal, the spoils were usually either sold for profit or used to craft equipment, such as armor.[1]
