Michelozzo di Bartolomeo Michelozzi (c. 1396 – 7 October 1472), known simply as Michelozzo, was an Italian architect and sculptor, considered one of the great pioneers of architecture during the Renaissance.

Michelozzo was a favoured architect of the Medici family, particularly Cosimo de' Medici, who hired him to design a residence in Florence in 1455.[1]
