Limnai was an ancient village located within Limnai Marsh in Lakonia, Greece. In antiquity, it was one of the villages, along with Mesoa, Pitana and Kynosoura, which formed the city-state of Sparta. The village in particular was also known for its Temple of Artemis Orthia.[1]
During the Peloponnesian War, the village and its temple were visited by the misthios Kassandra.[1]
