The Amphikleia Military Camp was a military camp located on the slopes of Grand Mount Parnassos in Phokis, Greece.
History[edit | edit source]
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra infiltrated the camp, killing the captain and claiming the valuables within.[1]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The name of the camp alludes to the town of Amphikleia which was destroyed by the army of Xerxes I of Persia around 480 BCE.[2]
