Lake Poseidon was a small lake on top of a hill in the northern reaches of Limnai Marsh in Lakonia, Greece.
Named after the half-buried statue of the Greek god Poseidon at the bottom of the pool, a group of Daughters of Artemis had set up a camp around the lake during the Peloponnesian War. At some point during said conflict, the location was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who eliminated the huntresses and claiming their valuables.[1]
