History[edit | edit source]

During the Seven Years' War, the Templar Shay Cormac sent ships with veteran sailors to the region to help with the war effort and the Templars' own interests, seeking to tip the balance of the skirmishes at sea towards the British Empire.[1] After their initial gambit paid off, the Templars sent a second wave of sailors to support British patrols along the Portuguese coast.[2]
