Koinyra Fortress

Koinyra Fortress was a military fortress east of Thasos City on the Greek island of Thasos.

During the Peloponnesian War, the fort was infiltrated by the Spartan misthios Kassandra. There, she recovered a bow which had allegedly belonged to the legendary hero Herakles, along with other valuables.[1]
