John Pyle (8 April 1723 – c. 1 January 1804) [citation needed] was a physician and colonel in the British Army during the American Revolutionary War. His militia was massacred by Henry Lee's forces at Pyle's Massacre in 1781 after the Colonial Assassins diverted Lee from his goal of tracking Banastre Tarleton.[1]
