Henry VIII (1491 – 1547), born Henry Tudor, was King of England from 21 April 1509 until his death. The second king from the House of Tudor, he was the son of Henry VII, and the father of Mary I and Elizabeth I, who both became Queens of England.[1]

Biography[edit | edit source]

In 1542, Henry ordered the construction of a church in hopes of keeping the funeral processions of plague victims passing through his home in Whitehall. This church was eventually replaced and rebuilt in the 18th century by James Gibbs, named St Martin-in-the-Fields.[2]

Legacy[edit | edit source]

In 2012, the Assassin Clay Kaczmarek collected details on Henry's life while Abstergo Industries held him captive at their Animus Project laboratory in Rome. He then hid the information within the Animus 1.28 in Glyph puzzles for his successor, Desmond Miles, to find.[3] Sometime in early September,[4] Desmond solved the puzzle set titled "Keep On Seeking, And You Will Find", in which Henry was excluded from a list of historic individuals who possessed a Shroud of Eden.[3] Later that year, he was also included in a mnemonic set in Abstergo's Project Legacy.[5]
