Henry Hudson (c. 1565 – disappeared 1611) was an English explorer employed by the Dutch East India Company.

In 1609, Hudson discovered Albany and claimed it for the Dutch. By 1614 the region was settled.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

In Assassin's Creed: Rogue, the Database entry for Albany erroneously refers to Hudson as Dutch,[1] whereas he was English and merely under Dutch service.[2]
