| In 1503, during the [[Liberation of Rome]], [[Ezio Auditore da Firenze]] became the Grand Master of the [[Renaissance]] Assassins after the previous mentor Niccolo Machiavelli passed the position onto him after coming to the conclusion that Ezio was a stronger leader and would set a better example to the other members of the order.
