The Empedoklites was a cult dedicated to the self-proclaimed "god" Empedokles during the Peloponnesian War in Greece.
Established and named by Empedokles himself, the cult gained the best footing on Kythera Island, where the vegetarian man who preached love appealed to certain people.[1]
