Eddie was a British citizen, who lived and worked in London in the mid-nineteenth century.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Working as a laborer for industrialist John Ashton, Eddie grew to resent his boss, who often attempted to cheat his employees out of their wages and showed little concern for their well-being. At some point in 1868, one of Eddie's friends, another laborer, got his arm mauled by machinery, after which Ashton promptly fired the man without any compensation.
Angered by Ashton's treatment of his employees, Eddie vowed to take revenge. One day, when Ashton followed his daily routine and walked past the construction site where Eddie and Frank were working, Eddie used the coal-powered crane to drop a wooden crate onto his employer.
Unbeknownst to him, however, Ashton had died mere minutes before the crate hit him, having been stabbed by his wife, as well as shot by a competitor and poisoned by his pharmacist and mistress.
The Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye investigated Ashton's murder, apprehending the actual murderer and letting everyone else, including Eddie, get away with their attempts on Ashton's life.
