Dyrnwch was a Welsh giant associated with Hen Ogledd and the medieval kingdom of Gwent.
In Welsh mythology, Dyrnwch possessed a magic cauldron which was said to have the ability to discriminate between cowards and brave men: whereas it would not boil meat for a coward, it would boil quickly if that meat belonged to a brave man.[1] The design of the cauldron was later replicated on a tablet made from a precursor material, and was later hidden within the Santlache Mine in Suthsexe.[2]
