Donecaestre

Doncaster (Old English: Donecaestre) is a market city in South Yorkshire, England. Originating as a fortress, the town served as the seat of Halfdan Ragnarsson during his conquests in Northumbria while King Ricsiege ruled from the city of Jorvik.

Circa 876, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir travelled to Donecaestre to meet with Halfdan after their earlier encounter near the Anlaf's Lookout.[1]
