The Destrier was a type of heavy warhorse that was prominently used throughout Europe during the Renaissance. As a horse bred for combat, the Destrier was highly resilient to injury relative to other classes such as the common Rouncey and the light Jennet, and it was typically fully covered with plate armor and cloth save for its legs.[1]
