Destin was a male dwarf who lived in Vangrinn, Svartálfaheimr.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Destin fled to Hodda Shelter when the Muspels invaded the region. After what he thought was sufficient time in hiding, he left the enclave only to be captured with a group of dwarves by a joint force of Muspel and jötunn warriors, who promptly began executing their prisoners until he was the sole survivor. Luckily, the Æsir lord Havi was passing by and quickly slew the captors, thus rescuing the dwarf. Destin thanked the Asgardian, informed him that he had last heard the soldiers' leader was stationed west of Gomul-stifla, then returned to his shelter. When he saw Havi visit later, he approached the god again and gave him a gift in gratitude for saving him.[1]
