Born during the Renaissance and raised by a modest merchant family in Valencia, Ysabel Lomelin was a young, well-educated Assassin recruit.
A true humanist by nature, Ysabel believed that peace would eventually find a home in the world. Driven by a love of books and knowledge, she spent her days perusing old books stores and monastery libraries, searching for the next rare kernel of knowledge she could devour.
This lust for rare information brought her into contact with the mysterious Assassin known as María, who saw great potential in the girl and her natural affinity for the Creed. They became friends, and María invited Ysabel to join the Brotherhood.
