Couillaud was a novice in the French Brotherhood of Assassins, active during the French Revolution.

At some point, Couillaud decided to betray the Brotherhood and contacted the Templars, setting a meeting with one of their agents near the Conciergerie. Discovering his treachery, the Assassins sent a group to eliminate the traitor and his contact during their meeting, throwing their bodies into the Seine River afterwards.
