Coirpre mac Néill was an Irish nobleman and a member of the Uí Néill dynasty who lived during the late 5th century.
One of the sons of Niall of the Nine Hostages, Coirpre inherited from his father a figurine that served as one of the keys to the Cú Chulainn Shield. Coirpre later handed down the figurine to his son Cormac Cáech, who died in 495 and was buried along with the figurine in a dolmen near the Lagan River in Ulster.[1]
