If there was any information other than his location to suggest he was Greek, perhaps. ATM, however, we can logically no more assert he was Greek than we can assert that Tarik Barleti, Sofia or Ezio are Turkish because they were in Constantinople.

Castor (died c. 1511) was a Master Assassin of the Greek Brotherhood of Assassins who operated in Rhodes until he was killed by the Knights Hospitalier. In retaliation, a group of Ottoman Assassins sent by Ezio Auditore da Firenze from Constantinople destroyed the Hospitalier compound in the city.[1]
