Canterbury Barracks

The Canterbury Barracks was the primary barracks of Canterbury in Kent, England. During the 9th century, it was headed by soldiers deeply loyal to Saint Augustine of Canterbury who sought to fight in his name.

In the 870s, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir visited the barracks at one point and recovered a nickel ingot within the building.[1]
