An unidentified '''Man O' War captain''' (unknown – 1776) was a member of the [[Royal Navy]] and the [[Templars|Templar Order]] during the [[American Revolutionary War]]. He was contacted by fellow Templar [[Nicholas Biddle]] to attack the [[France|French]] [[Ships|ship]] ''[[La Belladonna]]'' in an attempt to show the Continental Navy's weakness.

A Templar (died 1776) captained a Man O' War for the Royal Navy during the American Revolutionary War.

In 1776, the captain was contacted by fellow Templar Nicholas Biddle to attack the French Navy ship La Belladonna when it was on its way to discreetly transport a supply of weapons and gunpowder to the Continental Army.[1] This was one of several operations that perplexed the Colonial Assassins Ratonhnhaké:ton and Robert Faulkner because Biddle was himself a captain of the Continental Navy.[2]

Biddle, sailing Randolph, pretended to be La Belladonna's escort before suddenly abandoning her in the open waters to be preyed on by the Royal Navy.
