Bebnum's House was an estate southwest of Thebes, Egypt which, by the 1st century BCE, had been settled in by a cult of Akhenaten. The former home of the 17th century BCE Pharaoh Bebnum, the farm was used by the cult to perform rituals in worship of Akhenaten and Aten. In 38 BCE, the God's Wife of Amun Isidora sent the Hidden One Bayek of Siwa to investigate the estate when claims emerged that the cult had somehow avoided the "curse of the Pharaohs". Once there, Bayek met and rescued the priest Djehuty and later bore witness to one of the many rituals the cult conducted in worship of the heretic pharaoh and the Aten.[1]
