The Bear Grotto

The Bear Grotto was a cave which a group of bears had claimed as their own on the slopes of Grand Mount Parnassos in Phokis, Greece. It was situated along the northern path to the Sanctuary of Delphi.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra came across the cave, killing the alpha bear within.[1]
