The Basket-Hilted Sword was a sword issued to new recruits of the Musketeers of the Guard. Although the blade was exclusively meant for the elite military troop who directly served the Kings of France, a large quantity of them were on the market in Paris, and this was reflected in its cheap price of 250₣.[1]
