It kind of shows the duality of Connor, not just from his heritage but also in his fighting/freerunning style in my opinion. The wolf and the eagle may also hold significance for him in terms of his Native American heritage too and how the native Americans view him as each warrior was supposed to have a spirit guide and a power animal. These concepts have been overembellished in popular media in the last few decades but it was part of the shamanistic rites (more correctly this was a part of the Animism rites) a young warrior needed to pass in order to become a man/warrior/hunter or even an accepted member of a tribe. Anyways, this is just speculation but I am sure Ubisoft will elaborate more on this in the coming months.
