I suppose I should start by explaining why I chose the username'' 'Ālim'', right? Well, I wanted a distinctive username that didn't need numbers to allow for its individuality, and I wanted it to be related to ''Assassin's Creed'' because this is, after all, the ''Assassin's Creed ''wiki. Since the inspiration for the series is drawn from the Syrian'''' Hashshashin ''''(Arabic: '''حشّاشين'''‎ ''Ḥashāshīn'', also ''Hashishin'', ''Hashashiyyin'', or ''Assassins [Wikipedia's page - ''[[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hashshashin|Here]]]) naturally I went looking for a suitable Arabic word.

Doing a bit of extremely professional research, I google-ed a bunch of different words I thought would be cool to use. Miraculously, I stumbled upon '''Ālim'', which is the approxmate translation for ''scholar'' in Arabic. Cool, right?

Anyway, I am what is politely termed a grammar obsessed maniac, or as some prefer, Grammar Nazi. So I will now proceed to fix the grammar and spelling on this wiki as often as possible. Don't get me wrong, I'm not perfect, but at least I can fix basic mistakes that most people make out of speed and a lack of proof-reading.

About me[edit | edit source]

I suppose I should start by explaining why I chose the username 'Ālim, right? Well, I wanted a distinctive username that didn't need numbers to allow for its individuality, and I wanted it to be related to Assassin's Creed because this is, after all, the Assassin's Creed wiki. Since the inspiration for the series is drawn from the Syrian' Hashshashin '(Arabic: حشّاشينḤashāshīn, also Hashishin, Hashashiyyin, or Assassins [Wikipedia's page - [[1]]]) naturally I went looking for a suitable Arabic word.

Doing a bit of extremely professional research, I google-ed a bunch of different words I thought would be cool to use. Miraculously, I stumbled upon 'Ālim, which is the approxmate translation for scholar in Arabic.
