This article is a '''walkthrough''' of ''[[Assassin's Creed II]]''. It contain's spoilers about the game's plot.


==Beginning - Outside the Animus==
*Start by following Lucy to the Animus and sit inside. After this you are presented with a cut scene, which requires you to push a few buttons to make baby Ezio kick and punch. Not much time is spent in the Animus as Lucy quickly pulls you out and demands that you chase her.
*Use the run button to follow Lucy around the compound. You will encounter some enemies, but Lucy takes care of them for you. After awhile, you will come across a room with narrow cubicle walkways. Follow right behind Lucy and make sure to stop when she does. Most likely, by following these steps, you will get through undetected. But, if a guard does catch up to them, just let Lucy fight them.
*Once you've passed the locked door by using your eagle vision, you will be in a garage filled with guards. Repeatedly use the punch button to knock all of the guards out one by one.
*Another cut scene begins which takes you to Lucy's secret hideout. Once there, follow her upstairs to the room with other people in it. You have the option to explore the compound, but ultimately, you need to sit in the Animus to start the first mission.
==Sequence 01: Ignorance is Bliss==
====Boys Will Be Boys - Florence====
*The first mission requires you to beat up many enemies. Make sure to always lock onto an enemey, this allows you to throw up your guard and block incoming attacks. A counter move that is incredibly useful once you get the timing down correctly is available. To use this move, hold up your guard and press the attack button as an enemy swings at you. This will generally put him down instantly.
* Upon completing the beatdown of the first group of enemies, another swarm comes after you. Again, stick to the same strategy of guarding and countering. This should allow you to get rid of all of the enemies. After awhile, there will be a cut scene that interrupts the brawl. Search through the dead bodies of your enemies and loot them. Once you have collected 200 florins, the mission ends.
====You Should See the Other Guy - Florence====
*Talk to Federico, who will lead you to the doctor. Lock onto Frederico and then chase him by holding the two-free run buttons. Eventually, you will reach the doctor (the dude in the funny mask). Once there, approach the doctor and he will fix your injuries for 200 florins.
:* Future doctor visits are less expensive.
====Sibling Rivalry - Florence====
* Frederico then proceeds to challenge you to a race to the top of the church. Simply run up the face of the building, moving towards hand holds along the way. Run towards the finish line, marked by the white wisp, and the mission is over.
====Nightcap - Florence====
* Head towards the glowing point of view at the top of the tower and synchronize to fill out part of your map. Next, take a leap of faith off the top of the tower. Leap into the barrel of hay, where you will be interrupted by another cut scene.
* Get out of the hay pile, a target shows up on your map that guides you to Christina's window. Follow the target, but be careful to avoid guards along the way. Once you reach the base of Christina's window, climb up to her, and once again another cutscene will take place.
* The last part of this mission requires that you escape the guards. Run away as fast as possible. First, you should try to get out of the sights of the guards. You can do this by either running really far or climbing a building. Once your meter stops glowing red, you will be able to find a hiding spot, which will be marked blue. Successfully hide in this spot and the mission ends.
====Paperboy - Florence====
* Look at your map for an exclamation point that guides you to Ezio's father, Giovanni. He wants you to deliver a letter. A new target shows up on your radar. Run toward it, but beware of the guards around you. Head to the rooftops to avoid them completely.
* The target points you to a man on the street. Approach him and you'll get a quick cut scene and the new order to return to Giovanni. Run back, using the same rooftop-hopping strategy to avoid detection. When you return to Giovanni's pad, look for the door that's highlighted in white aura and open it up to end the mission.
====Petruccio's Secret - Florence====
* Find Petruccio and chat him up and he'll ask you to grab a feather for him. In reality, you need to grab three feathers, but they're all marked on your map. The problem here is that you're given a set amount of time to complete this task in. Look for the nearest map marker and run to it.
* All the feathers are found on rooftops, so you should immediately start climbing. Stay up top and you shouldn't have any problem collecting the three feathers in the given time. Once you've got the third feather, the timer stops and a marker for Petruccio's location shows up. Run to Petruccio's door and knock to end the mission.
====Beat a Cheat - Florence====
* Claudia is waiting and needs you to exact revenge on her unfaithful man. Talk to her and you'll get the location of Duccio, the cheater. Make your way across down and approach Duccio's location for a quick cut scene. Be ready for a quick time event mid-conversation.
* After chatting with him, start punching the dude. To easily win, grab Duccio and throw him down, then run to his body, and start unloading kicks while he's down. After taking a beating, he'll run off and the mission is over.
====Friend of the Family - Florence====
* Talk to Maria, Ezio's mother and she'll ask you to follow her for a little errand. Lock onto her to avoid losing her in the crowd, or just check your map for a moving, blue target to chase. Eventually she'll find her way to Leonardo Da Vinci's place.
* Pick up the small chest on the ground. Start leading Maria and Leonardo to the new target that's on your map. You can do a little healthy job with the chest in your hands, so it shouldn't take long. Reach the end point and drop the chest in the swirl of light to complete the mission.
====Special Delivery - Florence====
* Giovanni has more tasks for you, so find him and accept his missions. There are two letter deliveries, you need to make. Find the spots on the map, run there, and enter the light wisps to deliver each letter to its' target. You're rewarded with a hint of story cut scene.
* With the letters dispensed, you need to get a carrier pigeon for Giovanni. The pigeon coop's location will show up on your map. It's on a rooftop, so climb high to find it. Again, just enter the wisp of light to complete the task.
====Jailbird - Florence====
* Return to Giovanni and knock on his door. You find out that he isn't around. Ezio decides he needs to talk to his father in jail. Make your way toward the marker on your map, but be careful as you get close. The prison has a lot more guards than you'll find elsewhere, and they're looking for you.
* Stay on building tops surrounding the prison. Be sure to approach it from the southern side. As you get higher up on the prison, expect to run into an archer or two. Try to approach them from behind, and you can easily grab an archer and toss him off the top of the prison for an easy kill.
* Giovanni is being held in the highest tower of the prison. Climb up to the white light wisp for a cut scene that sheds a bit more light on the situation. After talking to Giovanni, Ezio falls down into a hay pile.
====Family Heirloom - Florence====
* Head back to Giovanni's room and use eagle vision to locate the hidden door. Open the door and step into the secret room. Open up the chest inside to get a new outfit, plus a useful sword.
* Upon leaving the room, you're interrupted by two guards who pull swords on you. Lock onto them, and draw your sword. While easily defeated, always try playing a defensive battle. Wait for the opponent to attack and, while holding the block button, counter attack for an instant kill.
* After both guards are dead, a target will appear on your map. Make your way there and knock on the door encased in a wispy white to complete the mission.
====Last Man Standing - Florence====
* To be honest, this isn't too much of a mission. Once activated, just walk around the corner to the map marker for a cut scene. Afterward, you're left with a whole bunch of guards chasing after you and you need to get away. You can simply run for it, or look for a building you can climb quickly. Ditching your trail is easier from the rooftops, but it's certainly possible to out-hoof the guards on the street level. When the guards are lost, the mission ends.
