I think if there was any one individual in the court in this time who could said to have been the most loyal and faithful to Emperor Xuanzong, to the extent that he loved him like they were one family, that would have to be Gao Lishi. Templar?[edit source]

I think if there was any one individual in the court in this time who could said to have been the most loyal and faithful to Emperor Xuanzong, to the extent that he loved him like they were one family, that would have to be Gao Lishi. He stood by him through thick and thin in the face of adversity against all the political enemies and had warned him numerous times about Li Linfu while expressing concerns about him growing neglectful over the possible threat of An Lushan and deferring things to Yang Guozhong. If Ubisoft had really made Gao a Templar, I think it would be a major contradiction with history, unless he is actually just a mole or not a true Templar in spirit. In any case, I haven't seen him mentioned so far in the promotional material. I can't find his name in the character chart either although it is so hard to read. So I just wish to double-check if this article calling him a member of the Order of the Ancients is a mistake. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 18:56, August 5, 2020 (UTC)
Gao Lishi agitated the soldiers to kill Yang Guozhong. After Yang Guozhong's death , he directed the spearhead at Yang Guifei about her action to led to this Rebellion. Also, he requested and persuaded Emperor Xuanzong to grant Yang Guifei to death. He was a member of the Order of the Ancients which is too strange for his done. If his setting as the undercover within the Order of the Ancients could make sense. A.gao.96 03:21, August 6, 2020 (UTC)
- I always assumed he only killed Yang Guifei under duress as he and Emperor Xuanzong were cornered and forced by the mutinous soldiers who wanted her and Yang Guozhong's entire family dead. Even after her death, he seemed to remain on great terms with Emperor Xuanzong. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 04:25, August 6, 2020 (UTC)
