Darman, this article is actually labelled "Real-world". And yes, we do actually have to document the multiplayer to some extent, otherwise we would have almost no info about it whatsoever. But we just never got around to how exactly we want to do it.

The score awarded after an offensive or defensive maneuver is dependant on the quality and the variety performed. Assassinating a target rewards a player with 100 points, but the bonuses attached to the kill can be numerous, depending on how the kill is set up. However, the three main stealth meter bonuses (four in ''Revelations'') can reward a player up to 400 points on a kill, depending on how stealthily the kill was performed, with Incognito being the highest, followed by Silent and then Discreet (and Conspicuous as the fourth). In addition, within the same match, the Variety bonuses are rewarded when a player accumulates seperate additional bonuses, to the count of 5, 10 and 15.

Kill bonuses are awarded to a player on a kill, depending on the Detection Meter (''Brotherhood'') or Approach Meter (''Revelations''), and are as follows:

*'''Kill (+100)''' - The Kill bonus is one of the most basic bonuses to receive, and can be obtained whenever a player assassinates their target. In the event that a chase sequence is started, the player will only be able to attain a Kill bonus. The Kill bonus does not apply to Varieties.

*'''Aerial Kill (+100)''' - Functioning the same as the Kill bonus, the Aerial Kill bonus only differs from the Kill bonus in that it is performed from above. Similarly to the Kill bonus, only the Aerial Kill bonus will be awarded in the event of starting a chase sequence, provided the player assassinates their target from above. Also, the Aerial Kill does not apply to Varieties.

*'''Reckless (+50)''' - Introduced in ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', the Reckless bonus takes the lowest position on the Approach Meter and is awarded to a player if they enter into High Profile enough to drain the meter to its marker, but not initiate a chase sequence. The Reckless bonus applies towards Varieties.

*'''Discreet (+50/+150)''' - The lowest of the kill bonuses on the Detection Meter in ''Brotherhood'', the Discreet bonus is awarded to a player after they enter High Profile within the line of sight of their target and kill them, but do not expose themselves enough to trigger a chase sequence. In ''Revelations'' however, the Discreet bonus is the level that all new contracts start with, and comes second lowest on the Approach Meter. The Discreet bonus is a bonus that applies towards Varieties.

*'''Silent (+200/+250)''' - Coming before Discreet on the Detection Meter and after it on the Approach Meter, the Silent bonus is awarded to a player in ''Brotherhood'' when they kill their target after entering High Profile for a short amount of time. In Revelations however, the Silent bonus is awarded to a player when they have built up their Approach Meter to the Silent mark before assassinating their target. Similar to Discreet, the Silent bonus also applies to Varieties.

*'''Incognito (+300/+350)''' - At the very top of the Detection/Approach Meter, the Incognito bonus is awarded to a player after they kill their target without entering High Profile in the line of sight of their target. For Revelations, a player must have filled their Approach Meter fully before striking. Following the trend of the other stealth meter bonuses, the Incognito bonus also applies to Varieties.

[[File:Prowler getting bonuses.jpg|thumb|right|250px|Prowler getting bonuses]]
Situational kill bonuses are bonuses that are added to a kill, through certain means, and are as follows:

'''Conspicuous (+50)''' - Introduced in ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', the Conspicuous bonus takes the lowest position on the stealth meter and is awarded to a player if they enter High Profile enough to drain the meter to its marker, but not initiate a chase sequence. Whether or not Conspicuous applies to Varieties remains to be known.
*'''First Blood (+50)''' - The First Blood bonus is a rare bonus in that it is only awarded to the player that performs the first kill of a match. As First Blood counts towards Varieties, it is often competitively sought out by all of the players in a session.

'''Discreet (+50/+100)''' - The lowest of the kill bonuses on the stealth meter, the Discreet bonus is awarded to a player after they enter High Profile within the line of sight of their target and kill them, but do not expose themselves enough to trigger a chase sequence. The Discreet bonus is a bonus that applies towards Varieties.
*'''Acrobatic (+100)''' - The Acrobatic bonus is awarded to a player by killing their target in an acrobatic position, which can be achieved while they are hanging onto a wall, perched on a chimney, or on a rope or a beam in a crouched stance. The Acrobatic bonus does apply to Varieties.

In ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', the Discreet bonus precedes the Conspicuous bonus on the stealth meter, and is given an improved score of +100, with Conspicuous taking its old score of +50.
*'''Hidden (+200)''' - The Hidden bonus is awarded to a player if they kill their target from a blending spot, whether it is a crowd, haystack or a bench. The Hidden bonus does apply to Varieties and can also be obtained after using either a Strong or Rapid Reload variant of Disguise in ''Brotherhood''.

'''Silent (+200)''' - Coming before Discreet on the stealth meter, the Silent bonus is awarded to a player when they kill their target after entering High Profile for a short amount of time. Similar to Discreet, the Silent bonus also applies to Varieties.
*'''Grounded (+50)''' - The Grounded bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to kill their target while they are lying on the floor, as a result of being stunned by another player. The player's target must be on the floor or kneeling in order to receive this bonus, as it cannot be obtained while they are getting up. The Grounded bonus does apply to Varieties.

'''Incognito (+300)''' - At the very top of the stealth meter, the Incognito bonus is awarded to a player after they kill their target without entering High Profile in the line of sight of their target. Following the trend of the other stealth meter bonuses, the Incognito bonus also applies to Varieties.
* '''Focus (+150)''' - The Focus bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to charge up the meter surrounding the kill button prompt. Players must wait 3 seconds in order to fully charge the meter, and if something obstructs the path to assassinating the target, or if the target moves out of assassination range, the meter will need to be recharged before being able to receive the Focus bonus on a kill. The Focus bonus does apply to Varieties.

In ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', with the changes made to the stealth meter, the Incognito bonus can be regained if a player loses it, by keeping their target in their line of sight.
*'''Poacher (+50)''' - The Poacher bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to kill their target, while another player that had the same target is less than 10 meters away from killing them. The Poacher bonus does apply to Varieties.

===Situational Kill Bonuses===
*'''Savior (+50)''' - The Savior bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to kill their target, while their target was less than 10 meters away from killing their own target. The Savior bonus does apply to Varieties.
Situational kill bonuses are bonuses that are added to a kill, through certain means, and are as follows:

'''First Blood (+50)''' - The First Blood bonus is a rare bonus in that it is only awarded to the player that performs the first kill of a match. As First Blood counts towards Varieties, it is often competitively sought out by all the players in a session.
*'''Revenge (+50)''' - The Revenge bonus is awarded to a player if they receive the person who killed them last as their contract, and manage to kill them before any other player assassinates their target or the player themselves. The Revenge bonus does apply to Varieties.

'''Acrobatic (+100)''' - The Acrobatic bonus is awarded to a player by killing their target in an acrobatic position, which can be while they are hanging onto a wall, or perched on a chimney or a rope in a crouched stance. The Acrobatic bonus does apply to Varieties.
*'''Chain (+50)''' - The Chain bonus is awarded to a player if they perform a kill within 8 seconds after escaping from a chase sequence, or by performing a kill while being chased and escaping from it 8 seconds later. In ''Revelations'', Chain can be more easily obtained, as a player can Stun their pursuer and kill their target, or vice versa, in order to receive the bonus. The Chain bonus does apply to Varieties.

'''Hidden (+200)''' - The Hidden bonus is awarded to a player if they kill their target from a blending spot, whether it is a crowd, haystack or a bench. The Hidden bonus does apply to Varieties and can also be obtained after using either a Strong or Rapid Reload variant of Disguise.
*'''Mid-Air (+100)''' - The Mid-Air bonus is awarded to a player if they use the Hidden Gun to shoot their target while they are jumping or falling through the air. The Mid-Air bonus does apply to Varieties.

'''Grounded (+50)''' - The Grounded bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to kill their target while they are lying on the floor, as a result of being stunned by another player. The player's target must be on the floor in order to receive this bonus, as it cannot be obtained while they are getting up. The Grounded bonus does apply to Varieties.
*'''Execution (+100)''' - Introduced in ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', the Execution bonus is awarded to a player if they use the Hidden Gun or Animus Hack to shoot/kill their target while they are running. The Execution bonus does apply to Varieties.
'''Focus (+150)''' - The Focus bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to charge up the meter surrounding the kill button prompt. Players must wait 3 seconds in order to fully charge the meter, and if something obstructs the path to assassinating the target, or if the target moves out of assassination range, the meter will need to be re-charged before being able to receive the Focus bonus on a kill. The Focus bonus does apply to Varieties.

'''Poacher (+50)''' - The Poacher bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to kill their target, while another player that had the same target is less than 10 meters away from killing them. The Poacher does apply to Varieties.
*'''Poison (+150/+200/+250/+300)''' - The Poison bonus is awarded to a player when they use the Poison ability to kill their pursuer. The bonus is risky to obtain as it requires the player to get close to their target to use the ability, but its high point potential makes it valuable. The Poison bonus does apply to Varieties.
'''Savior (+50)''' - The Savior bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to kill their target, while their target was less than 10 meters away from killing their own target. The Savior bonus does apply to Varieties.

'''Note:''' Even though Poison comes in three different strengths in both multiplayers, each with their own specific points, they do not count separately towards Varieties, despite the Slow Acting Poison variant displaying as Agony on the bonus table at the end of the match in ''Brotherhood''.

'''Revenge (+50)''' - The Revenge bonus is awarded to a player if they receive the person who killed them last as their contract, and manage to kill them before any other player assassinates their target or the player themself. The Revenge bonus does apply to Varieties.
*'''Intercepted (+50)''' - The Intercepted bonus is awarded to a player when they poison their target, but their target is killed by another player. Despite this, the Intercepted bonus does apply to Varieties.

'''Chain (+50)''' - The Chain bonus is awarded to a player if they perform a kill within 10 seconds after escaping from a chase sequence, or by performing a kill while being chased and escaping from it 10 seconds later. The Chain bonus does apply to Varieties
*'''Drop/Grab Kill (+150/+450)''' - The Drop/Grab Kill bonus is awarded to a player if they kill their target by pulling them off of the ledge of a building or a rooftop. The bonus is hard to come by, as targets need to be close to the edges of rooftops in order for players to receive the bonus, coupled with the fact that a player needs to be hanging still, or else they will jump up from the ledge and receive an Acrobatic bonus instead. Also, the Drop/Grab Kill bonus does apply to Varieties.
'''Mid-Air (+100)''' - The Mid-Air bonus is awarded to a player if they use the Hidden Gun to shoot their target, while their target is in the air, from either falling or jumping. The Mid-Air bonus does apply to Varieties.

'''Poison (+150/+200/+300)''' - The Poison bonus is awarded to a player when they use the Poison ability to kill their pursuer. The Poison bonus is risky to obtain as it requires the player to get close to their target to use the ability, but the points make it worth using.
*'''Contested Kill (+100)''' - Introduced in ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', the Contested Kill bonus is awarded to a player in the place of a regular Kill bonus, when they win the brawl between themself and their target, which occurs when the buttons for the assassination and stun prompts are pressed at the same time. The Contested Kill bonus does not apply to Varieties.

The Poison ability does apply to Varieties. However, even though it comes in three different strengths, each with their own specific points, they do not count seperately towards Varieties, despite the Slow Acting Poison variant displaying as Agony on the bonus table at the end of the match.
*'''Ground Finish (+50)''' - Introduced in ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', the Ground Finish bonus is awarded to a player when they do not manage to kill their target, but are still able to reach their body in time to press the assassination prompt. The Ground Finish bonus does apply to Varieties.

'''Intercepted (+50)''' - The Intercepted bonus is awarded to a player when they poison their target, but their target is killed by another player. As frustrating that having a poisoned target killed is, the Intercepted bonus does apply to Varieties.
*'''Animus Hack (+100)''' - Introduced in ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', the Animus Hack bonus is awarded to a player in the place of the regular Kill bonus, whenever a player uses the Animus Hack kill streak to kill their target, or any other player that they come across. The Animus Hack bonus does apply to Varieties.

'''Drop Kill (+150)''' - The Drop Kill bonus is awarded to a player if they kill their target by pulling them off of the ledge of a building or a rooftop. The Drop Kill bonus is hard to come by, as targets need to be close to the edges of rooftops in order for players to receive the bonus, coupled with the fact that a player needs to be hanging still, or else they will jump up from the ledge and recieve an Acrobatic bonus instead. Also, the Drop Kill bonus does apply to Varieties.

'''Contested Kill (+100)''' - Introduced in ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', the Contested Kill bonus is awarded to a player in the place of a regular Kill bonus, when they win the brawl between themself and their target, which occurs when the buttons for the assassination and stun prompts are pressed at the same time. Whether or not the Contested Kill bonus applies to Varieties remains to be known.

'''Stun (+200)''' - The Stun bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to surprise or disable their pursuer, before pressing the stun prompt. Trying to stun a pursuer unaided will not guarantee success though, as priority favours assassination over a stun attempt. The Stun bonus applies to Varieties.

In ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', there seems to be two new variants of the Escape bonus, and they are '''Out of Sight Escape (+150)''' and '''Hidden Escape (+200)'''. Whether or not they are seperate bonuses, and apply to Varieties differently remains to be known.

===Variety Bonuses===
When performing assassinations in a multitude of ways and collecting bonuses as a result, the scoring system rewards players with extra points in the form of a Variety bonus. However, despite being awardable bonuses, the Variety bonuses do not count towards other Varieties, and they are as follows:

'''Variety (+200)''' - The Variety bonus is awarded to a player when they collect 5 bonuses that apply towards them.

The Out of Sight Escape bonus does apply towards Varieties.
===Team Bonuses===
When teaming up with another player or a group of other players, Team bonuses can be achieved, though they do not count towards Varieties. Obtaining at least one of all the Team bonuses in a session will earn the Role Model achievement/trophy. The Team bonuses are as follows:

*'''Hidden Escape (+200)''' - Introduced in ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', the Hidden Escape bonus is awarded to a player who uses a blend crowd, haystack or bench during a chase sequence to hide from their pursuer and drain their escape bar, provided they have broken the line of sight between them. This article has been identified as being out of date. Please update the article to reflect recent releases and then remove this template once done.

As the core gameplay elements of the Assassin's Creed games are freerunning, fighting and social stealth, the scoring system in the multiplayer components of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed: Revelations are balanced in order to reward the use of these behaviors.

The score awarded after an offensive or defensive maneuver is dependent on the quality and the variety performed. Assassinating a target always rewards a player with 100 points, but the bonuses attached to the kill can be numerous, depending on how the kill is set up. However, the three main stealth meter bonuses (four in Revelations) can reward a player up to 400/450 points on a kill, depending on how stealthily the kill was performed.

Incognito is the highest of the stealth meter bonuses, followed by Silent and then Discreet (and Reckless as the fourth). In addition, within the same match, the Variety bonuses are rewarded when a player accumulates separate additional bonuses, to the count of 5, 10 and 15.

Whenever bonuses are gained, they will appear on the game interface above a blue hexagonal pattern, cycling through the bonuses obtained.

Multiplayer bonuses[edit | edit source]

Kill bonuses[edit | edit source]

The Barber, ready to receive bonuses

Kill bonuses are awarded to a player on a kill, depending on the Detection Meter (Brotherhood) or Approach Meter (Revelations), and are as follows:

  • Kill (+100) - The Kill bonus is one of the most basic bonuses to receive, and can be obtained whenever a player assassinates their target. In the event that a chase sequence is started, the player will only be able to attain a Kill bonus. The Kill bonus does not apply to Varieties.
  • Aerial Kill (+100) - Functioning the same as the Kill bonus, the Aerial Kill bonus only differs from the Kill bonus in that it is performed from above. Similarly to the Kill bonus, only the Aerial Kill bonus will be awarded in the event of starting a chase sequence, provided the player assassinates their target from above. Also, the Aerial Kill does not apply to Varieties.
  • Reckless (+50) - Introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Reckless bonus takes the lowest position on the Approach Meter and is awarded to a player if they enter into High Profile enough to drain the meter to its marker, but not initiate a chase sequence. The Reckless bonus applies towards Varieties.
  • Discreet (+50/+150) - The lowest of the kill bonuses on the Detection Meter in Brotherhood, the Discreet bonus is awarded to a player after they enter High Profile within the line of sight of their target and kill them, but do not expose themselves enough to trigger a chase sequence. In Revelations however, the Discreet bonus is the level that all new contracts start with, and comes second lowest on the Approach Meter. The Discreet bonus is a bonus that applies towards Varieties.
  • Silent (+200/+250) - Coming before Discreet on the Detection Meter and after it on the Approach Meter, the Silent bonus is awarded to a player in Brotherhood when they kill their target after entering High Profile for a short amount of time. In Revelations however, the Silent bonus is awarded to a player when they have built up their Approach Meter to the Silent mark before assassinating their target. Similar to Discreet, the Silent bonus also applies to Varieties.
  • Incognito (+300/+350) - At the very top of the Detection/Approach Meter, the Incognito bonus is awarded to a player after they kill their target without entering High Profile in the line of sight of their target. For Revelations, a player must have filled their Approach Meter fully before striking. Following the trend of the other stealth meter bonuses, the Incognito bonus also applies to Varieties.

Situational kill bonuses[edit | edit source]

Prowler getting bonuses

Situational kill bonuses are bonuses that are added to a kill, through certain means, and are as follows:

  • First Blood (+50) - The First Blood bonus is a rare bonus in that it is only awarded to the player that performs the first kill of a match. As First Blood counts towards Varieties, it is often competitively sought out by all of the players in a session.
  • Acrobatic (+100) - The Acrobatic bonus is awarded to a player by killing their target in an acrobatic position, which can be achieved while they are hanging onto a wall, perched on a chimney, or on a rope or a beam in a crouched stance. The Acrobatic bonus does apply to Varieties.
  • Hidden (+200) - The Hidden bonus is awarded to a player if they kill their target from a blending spot, whether it is a crowd, haystack or a bench. The Hidden bonus does apply to Varieties and can also be obtained after using either a Strong or Rapid Reload variant of Disguise in Brotherhood.
  • Grounded (+50) - The Grounded bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to kill their target while they are lying on the floor, as a result of being stunned by another player. The player's target must be on the floor or kneeling in order to receive this bonus, as it cannot be obtained while they are getting up. The Grounded bonus does apply to Varieties.
  • Focus (+150) - The Focus bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to charge up the meter surrounding the kill button prompt. Players must wait 3 seconds in order to fully charge the meter, and if something obstructs the path to assassinating the target, or if the target moves out of assassination range, the meter will need to be recharged before being able to receive the Focus bonus on a kill. The Focus bonus does apply to Varieties.
  • Poacher (+50) - The Poacher bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to kill their target, while another player that had the same target is less than 10 meters away from killing them. The Poacher bonus does apply to Varieties.
  • Savior (+50) - The Savior bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to kill their target, while their target was less than 10 meters away from killing their own target. The Savior bonus does apply to Varieties.
  • Revenge (+50) - The Revenge bonus is awarded to a player if they receive the person who killed them last as their contract, and manage to kill them before any other player assassinates their target or the player themselves. The Revenge bonus does apply to Varieties.
  • Chain (+50) - The Chain bonus is awarded to a player if they perform a kill within 8 seconds after escaping from a chase sequence, or by performing a kill while being chased and escaping from it 8 seconds later. In Revelations, Chain can be more easily obtained, as a player can Stun their pursuer and kill their target, or vice versa, in order to receive the bonus. The Chain bonus does apply to Varieties.
  • Mid-Air (+100) - The Mid-Air bonus is awarded to a player if they use the Hidden Gun to shoot their target while they are jumping or falling through the air. The Mid-Air bonus does apply to Varieties.
  • Execution (+100) - Introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Execution bonus is awarded to a player if they use the Hidden Gun or Animus Hack to shoot/kill their target while they are running. The Execution bonus does apply to Varieties.
  • Poison (+150/+200/+250/+300) - The Poison bonus is awarded to a player when they use the Poison ability to kill their pursuer. The bonus is risky to obtain as it requires the player to get close to their target to use the ability, but its high point potential makes it valuable. The Poison bonus does apply to Varieties.

Note: Even though Poison comes in three different strengths in both multiplayers, each with their own specific points, they do not count separately towards Varieties, despite the Slow Acting Poison variant displaying as Agony on the bonus table at the end of the match in Brotherhood.

  • Intercepted (+50) - The Intercepted bonus is awarded to a player when they poison their target, but their target is killed by another player. Despite this, the Intercepted bonus does apply to Varieties.
  • Drop/Grab Kill (+150/+450) - The Drop/Grab Kill bonus is awarded to a player if they kill their target by pulling them off of the ledge of a building or a rooftop.
  • Contested Kill (+100) - Introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Contested Kill bonus is awarded to a player in the place of a regular Kill bonus, when they win the brawl between themself and their target, which occurs when the buttons for the assassination and stun prompts are pressed at the same time. The Contested Kill bonus does not apply to Varieties.
  • Ground Finish (+50) - Introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Ground Finish bonus is awarded to a player when they do not manage to kill their target, but are still able to reach their body in time to press the assassination prompt. The Ground Finish bonus does apply to Varieties.
  • Animus Hack (+100) - Introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Animus Hack bonus is awarded to a player in the place of the regular Kill bonus, whenever a player uses the Animus Hack kill streak to kill their target, or any other player that they come across. The Animus Hack bonus does apply to Varieties.

Defense bonuses[edit | edit source]

The scoring system also rewards players who defend themselves and stay alive, and the bonuses a player can obtain are as follows:

  • Stun (+200) - The Stun bonus is awarded to a player if they manage to surprise or disable their pursuer, before pressing the stun prompt. Trying to stun a pursuer unaided will not guarantee success though, as priority favors assassination over a stun attempt. The Stun bonus applies to Varieties.
  • Lure (+100) - The Lure bonus is awarded to a player if an NPC of their persona is killed by their pursuer, while they are within a close proximity of them. The Lure bonus applies to Varieties.
  • Escape (+100) - The Escape bonus is awarded to a player if they escape from their pursuer in a chase sequence. The Escape bonus applies to Varieties.
  • Close Call (+50) - The Close Call bonus is awarded to a player if they escape their pursuer in a chase sequence, while still remaining in a close proximity to them. The Close Call bonus applies to Varieties.
  • Double Escape (+50) - Exclusive to Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the Double Escape bonus is awarded to a player if they escape from two pursuers during a chase sequence. The Double Escape bonus applies to Varieties.
  • Triple Escape (+100) - Exclusive to Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the Triple Escape bonus is awarded to a player if they escape from three pursuers during a chase sequence. The Triple Escape bonus applies to Varieties. Currently, along with Extreme Variety, this bonus is one of the hardest to gain in a session in Brotherhood.
  • Honorable Death (+100) - Introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Honorable Death bonus is awarded to a player who attempts to stun a pursuer, but is killed as their pursuer performs an assassination. The Honorable Death bonus does not apply toward Varieties.
  • Brutal Escape (+200) - Introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Brutal Escape bonus is awarded to a player who stuns their pursuer while in a chase sequence. The Brutal Escape bonus does apply toward Varieties.
  • Out of Sight Escape (+150) - Introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Out of Sight Escape bonus is awarded to a player who evades their pursuer in a chase sequence by staying out their line of sight, long enough for their escape bar to drain fully. The Out of Sight Escape bonus does apply towards Varieties.
  • Hidden Escape (+200) - Introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Hidden Escape bonus is awarded to a player who uses a blend crowd, haystack or bench during a chase sequence to hide from their pursuer and drain their escape bar, provided they have broken the line of sight between them. The Hidden Escape bonus does apply to Varieties.
  • Multiple Escape (+100) - Introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Multiple Escape bonus is awarded to a player who manages to escape from multiple pursuers in a chase sequence. The Multiple Escape bonus does apply to Varieties.

Variety bonuses[edit | edit source]

When performing assassinations and defending themselves in a multitude of ways, collecting bonuses as a result, the scoring system rewards players with extra points in the form of a Variety bonus. However, despite being awardable bonuses, the Variety bonuses do not count towards other Varieties, and they are as follows:

  • Variety (+200) - The Variety bonus is awarded to a player when they collect 5 bonuses that apply towards them.
  • Greater Variety (+400) - The Greater Variety bonus is awarded to a player when they collect 10 bonuses that apply towards them.
  • Extreme Variety (+600) - The Extreme Variety bonus is awarded to a player when they collect 15 bonuses that apply towards them. Currently, along with Triple Escape, this bonus is one of the hardest to gain in a session in Brotherhood.

Team bonuses[edit | edit source]

When teaming up with another player or a group of other players, Team bonuses can be achieved, though they do not count towards Varieties in Brotherhood. Obtaining at least one of all the Team bonuses in a session in Brotherhood will earn the Role Model achievement/trophy. The Team bonuses are as follows:

  • Co-op Kill (+50) - Exclusive to Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the Co-op Kill bonus is awarded to a player when they lock onto one of their targets and their partner or team-mate kills them.
  • Co-op Stun (+50) - Exclusive to Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the Co-op Stun bonus is awarded to a player when they lock onto one of their pursuers and their partner or team-mate stuns them. It is best to be cautious when locking onto a pursuer however, as all stun attempts will be focused on that pursuer until the lock is removed.
  • Assist (+50) - Introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Assist bonus is awarded to a player when they lock onto a target and one of their teammates kills them, or if they lock onto a pursuer and their teammate stuns them.
  • Assist Kill (+50) - Introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Assist Kill bonus is awarded to a player when they kill a target that their teammate has locked onto.
  • Assist Stun (+50) - Introduced in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Assist Stun bonus is awarded to a player when they stun a pursuer that their teammate has locked onto.
  • Diversion (+50/+75) - The Diversion bonus is awarded to a player whenever they start a chase sequence with their target and their partner or teammate kills them. A player can also receive this bonus if they are the person to kill their target, after their partner or their teammate initiates the chase.
  • Rescue/Rescued/Rescuer (+50/+75) - The Rescue bonus is awarded to a player whenever their pursuer is stunned by their partner or teammate when the player is in a chase sequence with them. A player can also receive this bonus if they are the person to stun their partner or teammate's pursuer, while the two are in a chase.
  • Multi-Kill (+100) - The Multi-Kill bonus is awarded to a player whenever they kill a target within 10 seconds of another target being killed by their partner or teammate. A player can also receive this bonus if their partner of teammate kills a target within 10 seconds of the player killing a target.
  • Knock Out (+100) - The Knock Out bonus is awarded to a player whenever they stun a pursuer within 10 seconds of another pursuer being stunned by their partner or teammate. A player can also receive this bonus if their partner or teammate stuns a pursuer within 10 seconds of the player stunning a pursuer.

Kill streaks and Score x2[edit | edit source]

The scoring system also rewards players for surviving and regularly assassinating their targets in the form of kill streaks, and also to help them regain the lead with the loss streak Score x2. Kill streaks can be obtained by killing targets, with some requiring a certain amount of stealth, provided a player is not killed before they can achieve them. The kill streaks (and loss streak) are as follows:

Brotherhood Kill streaks[edit | edit source]

  • 3 Kill streak (+100) - Provided a player gets 3 kills of any type, in a row without dying, they will be awarded with a bonus of 100 points on their third kill.

  • 5 Kill streak (+250) - Provided a player gets 5 kills of any type, in a row without dying, they will be awarded with a bonus of 250 points on their fifth kill.
  • 5 Silent Kill streak (+750) - Provided a player gets 5 kills that are Silent or higher, in a row without dying, they will be awarded with a bonus of 750 points on their fifth kill.

Revelations Kill streaks[edit | edit source]

  • Silent Animus Hack streak - Whenever a player gets a total of 7 Silent kills, stuns or a combination of the two without dying, they will be awarded with the ability to kill as many players as they can by "hacking" the Animus for 30 seconds. The streak carries over on death, provided the 30 second limit does not run over.
  • Animus Hack streak - Whenever a player gets a total of 9 kills, stuns or a combination of the two without dying, they will be awarded with the ability to kill as many players as they can by "hacking" the Animus for 30 seconds. The streak carries over on death, provided the 30 second limit does not run over.

Loss streaks[edit | edit source]

  • Score x2 (5 Loss streak) - If a player suffers 5 losses, in a row without a kill, the points for their next kill will be doubled.

Note: It is useful to use the Kill Buffer perk with kill streaks, which reduces a streak by one instead of resetting it on death, as it allows for kill streaks to be earned easier.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • In Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the Discreet bonus precedes the Reckless bonus on the stealth meter, and is given an improved score of +150, with Reckless taking its old score of +50.
  • In Assassin's Creed: Revelations, with the changes made to the stealth meter, the Incognito bonus can be regained if a player loses it by keeping their target in their line of sight.
