| Khensa was a Nubian huntress and gladiator active during the events of Assassins Creed:Origins. She was a close childhood friend of Bayek, a Medjay from Siwa. After they parted ways as children, Khensa encountered Bayek once again while worshipping at an obelisk in Krocodilopolis. Khensa asked Bayek to be her partner in the arena, to which Bayek agreed. Khensa wanted to become a champion for wealth and glory, whereas Bayek only fought in the arena in an attempt to track down the killer of Shadya, the daughter of Hotephres and Khenut. Eventually, the pair were able to challenge for the title of champions, which up until that point, had been held by the Gallic Brothers. Upon seeing one of the brothers, Bayek realised that he fitted the description given to him by Khenut of Shadya’s killer. After they defeated the brothers in the arena, Khensa and Bayek argued about the motive Bayek had to fight in the arena. Bayek stormed off, leaving Khensa in the middle of the arena. Later that day, Khensa was offered a large sum of money to be the bodyguard of Berenike, a member of the Order of the Ancients going by the alias, “The Crocodile”. Khensa accepted, not knowing the true identity of Berenike. When Bayek entered Kerkesoucha Granary in search of The Crocodile, he encountered Khensa guarding her. Reluctantly, Bayekwas forced to battle his former friend, leading to the death of Khensa. As she died, Bayek said, “I am sorry it had to end this way, old friend” before assassinating Berenike.
