An abnormally gifted killer, young [[Nirmala]] was plucked from her destroyed village by [[British Rite of the Templar Order|British Templars]] during one of their incursions on the island of [[Java]]. As the only known survivor and with obvious immense fighting skills, Nirmala was the ideal addition to their [[New World Order|cause]]. Adopted and placed under the care of a young British [[Black Cross]], [[Eamon Hathaway|Eamon]], she became a respected Black Cross herself. She and Eamon searched the [[Earth|globe]] for a mysterious place called the [[Observatory (Isu)|Observatory]] in hopes it would secure future Templar ambitions.
