The main body of articles should always be written in the historical past tense unless the subject still exists in the present-day timeline of the ''Assassin's Creed'' universe. This is because we follow by policy where we pretend that we are writing from inside the universe itself and documenting the events as though everything is real history. This is called ''in-universe writing''. The exception to this are articles which fundamentally deal with subjects of the series in an ''out-of-universe'' (i.e. real-life) such as articles on games such as ''[[Assassin's Creed: Odyssey]]'' and the characters' voice actors.
