	Hello Atvelonis, a while back you asked me if our wiki would be in need of global discussion moderators, and you also responded to a thread on our Discussions board regarding this. I replied to the Discussion board, but I never gave you a direct reply with a further explanation, which I fear may have been a little discourteous to have neglected to do so. In any case, I appreciate your offer of providing us with global discussion moderators. 	I think we could definitely benefit with a few more hands moderating that board, but we have had global discussion mods before, and the recurring pattern has been that whenever there were extended periods of low or peaceful activity, we would all become more relaxed with patrolling. After a while, some argument or other problem would flare up spontaneously, and we would be a bit slow to react to it. When the issue had been resolved, we would usually see another period of relatively tame activity, and the cycle repeated several times. Eventually, the global mods would disappear, probably for boards with greater and more regular issues. 			To be fairly honest with you, I've always been rather confused regarding the Unified Community Platform, even down to the basics of what it is. Is it just a name for the new discussions platform that results from the merging of the forums with Discussions? I know it this a topic that has come up quite a lot at community central, but it always seems like information regarding it is scattered across countless blog posts. As a result, I'm not really sure that providing us with global discussion mods again would really be the sort of solution we should pursue if the patrolling becomes too much to handle, just because I believe we probably should be promoting someone who is regularly involved with the board, and I feel awkward asking for global mods again from time to time.

I also don't wish to give the impression that I am suggesting that the global discussion moderators that Fandom has provided us with before were inadequate. They were friendly, communicative, and dutiful, and we never had any issues with them. I think the habit of becoming too relaxed over time is a natural one, one that I was just as often at fault with as well.
