The hole Idea of not having the modern aspect would have worked realy well. If they just had the historical assassin's and still included first civ it would of been great. Imagine the rumors going around and everyones guesses at what the first civ are tying to do. That slow burn about who they are and what they are doing would have been awsome.

The first AC would have left us wondering where did that pice of edan come from and what does that map mean? the second AC could have ended with mirnerva warning ezio about events but being very vauge and presenting him with information that he would hide written launguage unknowen to him (english, and we could get a glimps and see what some of it said.) and hide them. And so on. It could have been the perfect slow burn but the modern screwed it up.
