From what we know so far, I'm pretty confident that Sofia is not an Assassin, just a bookseller. She may be inducted into the order later on if they do get together, but at the start at least, I don't think she's an Assassin. As far as the children thing goes, I doubt it's Christina, as we saw her die in Ezio's last repressed memory in Brotherhood. Caterina & Rosa are possibilities, but every time something almost happened between Ezio and Rosa, they got interupted, so I don't think it'll be her. And Caterina hasn't been heard from since she left after being rescued by Ezio in Brotherhood. So I'm betting it will be Sofia Sorto.
