They should finally get that whole Portable Animus thing going that they foreshadowed in AC1, its insane that they havn't already. A portale Animus would have solved most of the narrative problems on the modern day side (Desmond never does anything, the Assassins are to static, you never see any of the outside world etc.) and the only reason they havn't done it is probably because they're not sure of how to frame Desmond gameplay without having the game turn into a shooter.
