After the release of Red Dead: Redemption, another free-roam/sandbox type game like AC, many rumors surfaced over a movie and the talks with it actually got so serious that they were talking to Brad Pitt about playing the protaginist from RDR, John Marston. I haven't heard any new information but I think the idea lost a good bit of its momentum after the DLC Undead Nightmare came out and completely tanked and got awful reviews and brought down the game's legacy. That being said, an AC movie would like require a large budget, multiple historians and scientists on set, and a lot of dangerous stunts.

Bottom Line: It would take a lot of work pre-production with the game to script conversion and finding an actor willing to jump rooftops who actually can act and play like Ezio, but with enough work, I could see an AC movie. Then again, that movie could come out from a small company like the Call of Duty: Find Makarov movie which isn't even being shown in theatres.
