Created page with "Let me present a counter-argument. Just because somebody says something is true, doesn't actually make it true. Just because Ubisoft say this game isn't about killing Redcoats d..."

Páàjì titun

Let me present a counter-argument.

Just because somebody says something is true, doesn't actually make it true. Just because Ubisoft say this game isn't about killing Redcoats doesn't make that true, the evidence is in the final product which, until it is released, nobody can examine. No matter what Ubisoft say, ''every single'' individual Connor has killed in the various gameplay trailers, demos, CGI trailers and whatnot has been a Loyalist. Not one single Continental (I dislike the biased term "patriot") soldier has been so much as grazed by a blade of grass in these various advertisements for the game. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

Also, to paraphrase one of my favourite movies lines: "It's not who you are, but what you do that defines you". Ubisoft can tell me this game isn't about killing Redcoats all they like, until I see a Continental solider die, all you have is hearsay.

On your second point, the first game had you killing Christians (not just English) and Muslims in almost equal number; Richard I of England was actually portrayed in a somewhat positive light in-game, suggesting that he holds true to a set of justifiable beliefs that Altair actually agreed with. What little Pre-game advertisements they released supported the fact that the game was about killing individuals on both sides of the conflict (unlike the trailers for AC III).
