The '''fall and rise of Altaïr''' was a series of events during the [[Third Crusade]] in which [[Assassin]], [[Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad]] was demoted to a novice and then worked his way back up the ranks of the Order, ultimately succeeding his mentor, [[Al Mualim]], as [[Grand Master of the Assassin Order]].

A well known Assassin, Altaïr was tasked with retrieving an artifact from Jerusalem. Failing to do so, he was stripped of his title and demoted to a novice. Given a chance at redeeming himself, Altaïr set out on a quest to reclaim his lost honor, eventually learning many secrets of the Assassins and Templars.
